Pathway Overview

Applications for Fall 2025 will begin on 12/1/24!

The AP pathway is designed for Military, LVNs, Psych Techs, and Medics who wish to advance their nursing career by obtaining an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). This pathway provides students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and clinical experiences to become registered nurses (RNs).

The pathway builds upon the foundational nursing knowledge and skills that have been acquired in previous education and work experience. The curriculum includes classroom instruction, skills practice in the laboratory, and hands-on clinical experiences in various healthcare settings, such as hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. Series content includes behavioral health, geriatrics, and intermediate and advanced medical-surgical concepts. Students develop clinical reasoning skills, clinical judgment, and the ability to provide safe and effective nursing care to diverse patient populations.

Upon successful completion of the AP Pathway, graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) to become licensed as registered nurses.
