SIMULATION LAB COORDINATOR

Jaimie Ruiz is the Simulation Lab Coordinator at United Nursing College in Murrieta, California. She is passionate about applying evidence-based teaching strategies to guide educational practices in nursing.

Dr. Ruiz has an extensive clinical background as a registered nurse at Loma Linda Medical Center’s Advanced Urgent Care where she delivered high quality care to patients of all ages with acute health care needs. Jaimie completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Loma Linda University in 2022 with a specialty concentration in pediatrics. Jaimie has been practicing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the ER, Primary Care, and K-12 healthcare setting, in addition to providing telehealth services to families with children with neurodevelopmental conditions. With the goal to effectively bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world clinical practice, Jaimie has found excitement and passion in teaching the next generation of nurses and is now working collaboratively with faculty to provide a safe learning environment in which nursing students can practice clinical skills and decision-making through realistic patient scenarios.
