Jaimie Ruiz, DNP, RN, PHN, CHSE, CPNP-PC
SIMULATION LAB COORDINATOR, BSN PROFESSOR
Dr. Jaimie Ruiz is the Simulation Lab Coordinator at United Nursing College in Murrieta, California, where she leads the development and implementation of simulation-based education aligned with evidence-based practices and national standards. As a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE), Dr. Ruiz brings advanced expertise in simulation design, debriefing, assessment, and program development to enhance student learning and clinical readiness.
Dr. Ruiz earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Loma Linda University in 2022, with a specialty concentration in pediatrics. She has an extensive clinical background as a registered nurse at Loma Linda Medical Center’s Advanced Urgent Care, where she provided high-quality care to patients of all ages. She has experience as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in emergency, primary care, and school-based (K–12) healthcare settings, in addition to delivering telehealth services to families of children with neurodevelopmental conditions. With the goal to effectively to effectively bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world clinical practice, Dr. Ruiz collaborates closely with faculty to create immersive, high-quality simulation experiences that promote clinical judgment, skill acquisition, and interprofessional collaboration. She is dedicated to fostering a psychologically safe learning environment in which nursing students can confidently develop their clinical and decision-making abilities through realistic patient scenarios.
