Eric Buonaccorsi, DNP, RN, RN-BC, CMSRN
NURSE FACULTY
Eric Buonaccorsi, DNP, RN, RN-BC, CMSRN, began his career in nursing in 2010 when he graduated from the Community College of Rhode Island with his associate degree in nursing. He worked several years as a bedside nurse on an inpatient oncology unit and eventually transitioned to and specialized in medical surgical nursing.
In 2016 Eric graduated from Walden University with his MSN in Nursing Informatics. He transitioned from bedside nursing to Informatics Manager and received his board certification in nursing informatics from the ANCC in 2018. While working in informatics, Eric developed a passion for nursing education while education hospital staff on a health records system upgrade. He began teaching clinical as an adjunct for a health science college and shortly thereafter accepted a full faculty position. In 2022 Dr. Buonaccorsi graduated from Regis College with a DNP in Nursing Education and has since accepted a position as a simulation lab manager, merging both his passion for nursing education and informatics.
